FAQ
Here are some common questions we receive at Love at First Beat. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

What is the difference between a 2D, 3D, and 4D Ultrasound?
2D Ultrasound: This is the traditional black and white, 2-dimensional image of your baby that you are used to seeing at your doctor's appointments.
3D Ultrasound: This is a still, 3-dimensional image of your baby in the womb, providing a more realistic picture of their features.
4D Ultrasound: This is a live video of your baby in 3D, allowing you to see your baby move, yawn, and smile in real-time.

When is the best time to get a 4D ultrasound?
The best time is between 28-35 weeks of pregnancy. Our favorite time is between 30-32 weeks. Before 27 weeks, your baby is smaller and doesn't have as much facial fat. After 35 weeks, your baby gets bigger, which can sometimes make it more difficult to see the full face. If you know your baby is measuring large, we recommend not waiting until 35 weeks.

What should I do to prepare for my ultrasound appointment?
Drink LOTS of WATER! This is the most important step for clear images. Please drink at least 6 bottles of water every day for 5-7 days before your appointment. If you don't normally drink a lot of water, we recommend starting this 2 weeks prior. The more water you drink, the more amniotic fluid surrounds your baby, which leads to clearer pictures! (Gatorade is a good alternative if you don't like plain water).
If you are wearing a dress to your appointment, we recommend wearing shorts underneath for your comfort.
-
How many people can I bring to my appointment?
We do not limit the number of guests you bring to share this special moment. However, our viewing room can comfortably fit about 6 adults.
-
What if we can't see the baby's face during the ultrasound?
This does not happen often, but babies can be camera-shy! If your little one is in a difficult position, we will invite you back for a complimentary rescan, typically within a week or two.
-
What forms of payment do you accept?
We use Square, which allows us to accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We also accept cash.
-
How do I make an appointment?
The best and easiest way to schedule your appointment is right here on our website. Just click the "Book Now" button. You can also call us at (239) 946-8170. What happens if you see something concerning on the ultrasound?
Please remember, our ultrasounds are strictly for entertainment and bonding. We do not have a doctor on staff, and our technicians cannot diagnose you or your baby. We are not looking for medical problems. However, in the rare event that we notice a significant finding, our policy is to contact your prenatal care provider directly to make them aware.
